Frequently asked questions
Will my website go down during the transfer?
No. Your DNS servers don’t change, so your website and email keep working throughout the transfer.
Will I lose the remaining time on my domain?
No. A transfer adds 1 year to your current expiry date.
Which domains can’t be transferred?
Domains registered or transferred in the last 60 days, as well as locked, expired or disputed domains, cannot be transferred.
How long does a transfer take?
Usually 5–7 days. If the old registrar approves sooner, it finishes faster. You can track the status in your client panel under “My domains → Manage → Transfer”.
What if the EPP code is wrong?
The transfer won’t start. You can restart it with a new EPP code from your client panel.
